Deploy Finance, a self-custodial alternative to Neutral Trade

Disclosure: Deploy Finance publishes this page and offers a competing product that appears in it.

Not financial advice. Crypto, DeFi and perpetual-futures strategies can lose money, including your whole deposit. Yields are variable, and past or backtested results do not predict future returns. Read the risk disclosure.

Neutral Trade and Deploy Finance both let you hand a trading strategy to a professional and keep it out of your own hands. Neutral Trade is a marketplace: vetted trading firms run strategies inside smart-contract vaults on Solana, and you buy vault shares. Deploy Finance offers two defined agents that trade from a wallet you own.

The closest overlap is Neutral Trade's Hyperliquid Funding Arb vault against Deploy's Income: Funding Rates agent. Both hedge spot against perpetuals on Hyperliquid and collect funding. The asymmetry is ownership: on Neutral Trade you hold a share of a pooled vault with a redemption period, and on Deploy you hold the USDC and the positions in your own wallet.

What is Neutral Trade?

Neutral Trade describes itself as a platform for curated systematic strategies. Trading firms apply to become curators, and Neutral Trade scores each against a six-part vetting framework covering track record, risk management, and infrastructure. Teams under 3.5 out of 5 are not onboarded, and backtests alone do not count as a track record.

The catalog has four shelves:

  • Earn. NT Earn spreads USDC across Solana lending markets such as Kamino and Jupiter Lend. Neutral Trade lists it with no fees and withdrawals within an hour.
  • Market neutral. Funding arbitrage, market making, options market making, and volatility arbitrage. The Hyperliquid Funding Arb vault, live since June 2025, hedges spot against perps on Hyperliquid and puts 10% of its USDC reserves into HLP.
  • Directional. Systematic and trend-following strategies.
  • Autopilot. A multi-strategy vault launched in July 2026 that allocates across the catalog, mostly market neutral with up to 5% directional.

How Neutral Strategy Vaults work

Deposits happen on Solana. You submit a request, which cannot be cancelled, and Neutral Trade batches deposits and withdrawals once a day. Once yours is processed, you receive shares and your capital moves to the venues the strategy uses. Those can be centralized exchanges, decentralized exchanges, or DeFi protocols on other chains.

Curators get API access to trade but cannot send funds to arbitrary addresses. Every movement is limited to pre-approved contracts and venues, fee changes pass through a 12-hour timelock, and an emergency function can recall deployed capital to the vault.

Exiting takes a withdrawal request and then a redemption period that differs by vault. Your shares stay exposed to the strategy until the period ends. Some vaults add a lockup before you can request, and one volatility strategy redeems quarterly with notice.

Access depends on location. Neutral Trade's regional availability page blocks the interface in the United States and a list of other countries, based on where you connect from.

Each vault charges an annual service fee (Neutral Trade's example is 2% a year) and a commission on profits above your previous high-water mark. Autopilot charges a 1% service fee after a free first month.

Deploy Finance: one mandate, your wallet

Deploy Finance does not run a marketplace. It offers two live agents, both funded and settled in USDC, both trading on Hyperliquid from a self-custodial wallet built on Privy's embedded-wallet infrastructure.

  • Income: Funding Rates holds the spot asset against a matching perpetual short and collects funding in USDC. It rebalances automatically and closes positions rather than paying when funding turns negative.
  • Superstar takes long or short positions on perpetual markets under a defined strategy.

You sign in with email or Google, fund the wallet, pick an agent and an allocation, and approve a session key. The agent can trade with that key but cannot transfer or withdraw your funds. You can revoke it, export your keys, and withdraw to your own address.

Neutral Trade gives you a wider menu, including options market making, volatility arbitrage, and a lending aggregator, none of which Deploy offers. Deploy keeps your positions in your own wallet and has no pooled share, no batched processing, and no redemption period between you and your USDC.

When should you choose Deploy Finance or Neutral Trade?

Choose Deploy Finance when:

  • You want Hyperliquid funding carry held in your own wallet rather than through a share of a pooled vault.
  • You want to withdraw without waiting out a redemption period.
  • You want no service fee or profit commission on the strategy.
  • You want a directional agent and a funding agent run from the same wallet, without picking a curator for each.

Choose Neutral Trade when:

  • You want strategies Deploy does not run, such as options market making, volatility arbitrage, or Solana lending aggregation.
  • You want one deposit spread across several strategies, which Autopilot provides.
  • You prefer to evaluate named trading firms that have passed a published vetting framework.
  • You already hold USDC on Solana and want to stay there.

Marketplace or mandate: Neutral Trade lets you choose among curators who trade pooled vaults. Deploy Finance runs two defined agents in your own wallet. No integration between the products is implied.
