Not financial advice. Crypto, DeFi and perpetual-futures strategies can lose money, including your whole deposit. Yields are variable, and past or backtested results do not predict future returns. Read the risk disclosure.
USDX.money and Deploy Finance both earn the funding and basis spread that leveraged traders pay. USDX packages it as a synthetic dollar: the protocol holds hedged positions, and sUSDX holders collect the yield. Deploy Finance runs the hedged trade itself through an agent, inside a wallet you own.
The overlap is delta-neutral yield in dollar terms. The asymmetry is what you hold. With USDX you hold a token whose value depends on the protocol's backing, its custodial setup, and its insurance fund. With Deploy you hold USDC and the open positions, and no one else's deposits share your result.
Compare USDX.money and Deploy Finance
| USDX.money | Deploy Finance | |
|---|---|---|
| Product model | Synthetic dollar (USDX) with a staking vault (sUSDX) | Curated autonomous agents trading from a self-custodial wallet |
| What you hold | sUSDX, an ERC-4626 share of staked USDX | USDC and hedged positions in your own wallet |
| Return source | Funding and basis spread from delta-hedged derivatives positions | Hyperliquid funding on the agent's hedged position |
| Custody of backing | Held through an off-exchange settlement provider; exchanges receive delegated, not transferred, custody | Your wallet; the agent's key can trade but not transfer or withdraw |
| Negative funding | An insurance fund bears the cost during sustained negative funding | The agent rebalances or closes positions rather than paying to hold |
| Access | Direct mint and redeem only for whitelisted entities that pass KYC or KYB; others buy through liquidity pools | Email or Google sign-in; no accreditation requirement documented |
| Exit | Unstake sUSDX and claim USDX a day later, then swap; whitelisted redemption to USDT in 7 days | Revoke the agent, exit the strategy, withdraw to your own address |
What is USDX.money?
USDX is a synthetic dollar backed by delta-hedged positions. Approved entities deposit stablecoins such as USDT, USDC, or USDe to mint USDX, and the protocol hedges the backing with derivatives positions.
How USDX and sUSDX work
- Yield comes from the funding and basis spread on the hedged derivatives positions. USDX itself does not earn.
- Staking USDX in the StakedUSDX contract gives you sUSDX, an ERC-4626 token whose value rises as protocol revenue flows in. USDX states that the USDX value of sUSDX can only rise or stay flat.
- Custody runs through an off-exchange settlement provider. The protocol delegates, but does not transfer, custody of backing assets to derivatives exchanges.
- Negative funding is absorbed by an insurance fund during sustained periods.
- Access to direct minting and redemption is limited to whitelisted entities in eligible jurisdictions that pass KYC or KYB. Other users buy and sell USDX through liquidity pools.
- Exit from staking means unstaking sUSDX and claiming USDX one day later. Whitelisted addresses can redeem USDX into USDT in seven days.
The design suits someone who wants a composable dollar token with hedged yield and no positions to manage. It relies on the protocol's custody chain, its insurance fund, and secondary-market liquidity for anyone who is not whitelisted.
Deploy Finance: the hedge in your own wallet
Deploy Finance runs two live agents, both funded and settled in USDC.
- Income: Funding Rates holds roughly 75% of capital as the spot asset and uses 25% to back a 3x perpetual short of matching notional on Hyperliquid. It collects funding every hour and rebalances automatically.
- Superstar takes long or short positions on perpetual markets under a defined strategy.
You sign in with email or Google, and Deploy creates a self-custodial wallet on Privy's embedded-wallet infrastructure. You fund it with USDC, choose an agent and allocation, and approve a session key that can trade but cannot transfer or withdraw.
Compared with USDX, there is no custodian chain to evaluate, no whitelist between you and redemption, and no pool of other holders sharing the result. The trade-off is composability: a wallet position is not a token you can lend, LP, or move between protocols.
When should you choose Deploy Finance or USDX.money?
Choose Deploy Finance when:
- You want to hold the hedged position directly rather than a token backed by a protocol's positions.
- You want to exit without depending on liquidity pools or a whitelist.
- You want the hedge to run on a venue you can observe, from your own wallet.
- You want a directional agent available from the same wallet.
Choose USDX.money when:
- You want a transferable, ERC-4626 yield token you can use elsewhere in DeFi.
- You are an institution that can complete KYC or KYB for direct mint and redeem.
- You value an insurance fund that absorbs sustained negative funding.
- You prefer exposure to a protocol-run hedge spread across its backing.
Token or position: USDX.money issues a dollar token backed by hedged positions it runs. Deploy Finance runs the hedged position in your wallet. No integration between the products is implied.
