OKX Simple Earn and Deploy Finance both earn from traders who want leverage. On OKX, your USDC is lent to borrowers on the exchange, including margin traders, and you receive their interest after OKX takes a fee. On Deploy Finance, an agent holds a hedged position in your own wallet and collects the funding that leveraged perpetual traders pay.
So the money comes from a similar place. The asymmetry is the path it takes. OKX pools your USDC, lends it inside the exchange, and keeps 15% of the returns. Deploy keeps the USDC in your wallet and takes no cut of what the agent earns.

What is OKX Simple Earn?
OKX Simple Earn is OKX's flexible savings product. Your assets join a pool that OKX lends to borrowers on its platform, which can include its loan programs and margin traders.
How the rate is set
- Borrowers pay interest. OKX deducts fees, keeping 15% of accrued returns, and distributes the rest to subscribers.
- Returns accrue hourly and pay out with roughly a two-hour delay.
- For stablecoins, a November 2025 update changed the logic so borrowers' interest is shared across all eligible subscriptions. When eligible lending exceeds borrowing demand, each subscriber's rate falls.
- You can redeem at any time, and OKX can adjust deposit and redemption limits with market conditions. OKX states the product is not principal-protected.
Simple Earn is convenient if your USDC already sits on OKX. It is also a direct bet on borrowing demand inside one exchange: when traders stop borrowing, the rate drops, and your USDC remains a claim on OKX throughout.
Deploy Finance: the leverage demand, captured from your wallet
Deploy Finance runs two live agents, both funded and settled in USDC.
- Income: Funding Rates holds roughly 75% of capital as the spot asset and uses 25% to back a 3x perpetual short of matching notional on Hyperliquid. Leveraged longs pay funding to that short every hour. The agent rebalances automatically and closes positions rather than paying when funding turns negative.
- Superstar takes long or short positions on perpetual markets under a defined strategy.
You sign in with email or Google, and Deploy creates a self-custodial wallet on Privy's embedded-wallet infrastructure. You withdraw USDC from OKX to that wallet, choose an agent, and approve a session key that can trade but cannot transfer or withdraw.
Lending interest and funding both rise when traders want leverage, but they are paid through different instruments. OKX's rate depends on borrowing inside one exchange and is shared across every subscriber. The agent's funding comes from Hyperliquid's perpetual markets and is earned on your position alone.
When should you choose Deploy Finance or OKX Simple Earn?
Choose Deploy Finance when:
- You want your USDC in your own wallet rather than lent out by an exchange.
- You do not want a 15% service fee taken from your returns.
- You want your return to come from your own position, not a pool shared with every subscriber.
- You want a directional agent available from the same wallet.
Choose OKX Simple Earn when:
- Your USDC already sits on OKX and you want it earning without moving it.
- You want returns from exchange lending rather than from a trading strategy.
- You want to redeem instantly back into your trading balance.
- You use OKX's other Earn products and want everything in one account.
Lending pool or hedged position: OKX lends your pooled USDC to borrowers on the exchange. Deploy Finance runs a funding position in your own wallet. No integration between the products is implied.
