Deploy Finance, a self-custodial alternative to Enzyme

Disclosure: Deploy Finance publishes this page and offers a competing product that appears in it.

Not financial advice. Crypto, DeFi and perpetual-futures strategies can lose money, including your whole deposit. Yields are variable, and past or backtested results do not predict future returns. Read the risk disclosure.

Enzyme and Deploy Finance both sit between capital and a trading strategy, but they serve different people. Enzyme builds infrastructure for asset managers, treasuries, and funds to launch and run tokenized vaults. Deploy Finance offers two autonomous agents that an individual can fund from their own wallet.

The overlap appears when you are a depositor choosing where capital goes. In an Enzyme vault, a manager trades pooled capital under rules the vault enforces, and you hold shares. On Deploy, an agent trades a position in your own wallet under a permission you can revoke.

What is Enzyme?

Enzyme has built onchain asset-management infrastructure for more than eight years. It now offers two main platforms:

  • Enzyme Onyx is a stack for issuing and administering tokenized funds and instruments, used to launch vehicles such as tokenized hedge funds and money market funds.
  • Enzyme Blue is a platform for decentralized strategy management, connecting a vault to more than 30 protocols and hundreds of assets.

How an Onyx vault treats depositors

Enzyme's Onyx documentation describes the depositor flow:

  • Deposits can be synchronous, giving you shares instantly at the current price, or asynchronous, entering a queue the administrator approves.
  • Redemptions default to an asynchronous queue. The vault owner or admin reports NAV, then processes requests, often in batches. You can cancel a request after a waiting period the owner sets, and the owner can choose to leave requests pending.
  • Fees can include management and performance fees with custom logic, plus flat entrance and exit fees. High-water marks and hurdle rates are supported.

That design gives managers the controls a regulated fund needs. For a depositor, it means your exit depends on the manager's NAV reporting and on the vault holding enough liquidity when your request is processed.

Deploy Finance: no manager queue, no shares

Deploy Finance runs two live agents, both funded and settled in USDC.

  • Income: Funding Rates holds roughly 75% of capital as the spot asset and uses 25% to back a 3x perpetual short of matching notional on Hyperliquid, collecting funding and rebalancing automatically.
  • Superstar takes long or short positions on perpetual markets under a strategy Deploy defines and manages.

You sign in with email or Google, which creates a self-custodial wallet on Privy's embedded-wallet infrastructure. You fund it with USDC and approve a session key that can trade but cannot transfer or withdraw. There is no NAV to wait for, because your balance is your positions. There is no redemption queue, because nothing is pooled.

Enzyme is the better comparison if you are a manager deciding how to run other people's money. Deploy is the better comparison if you are the person whose money it is, deciding whether to hand it to a vault manager at all.

When should you choose Deploy Finance or Enzyme?

Choose Deploy Finance when:

  • You are allocating your own capital and want it held in your own wallet.
  • You want to exit without a manager-processed redemption queue.
  • You want a defined funding or directional strategy rather than a manager's discretion.
  • You want no management, performance, entrance, or exit fee.

Choose Enzyme when:

  • You manage capital for others and need fund-grade controls, NAV reporting, and fee logic.
  • You want to issue a tokenized fund or instrument.
  • You need programmable restrictions on which assets and protocols a manager may use.
  • You are a depositor who has diligenced a specific manager running an Enzyme vault.

Infrastructure or end product: Enzyme supplies the rails for managers to run pooled vaults. Deploy Finance supplies two agents that run inside your own wallet. No integration between the products is implied.
